In 2001 I had my first daughter. It was an uneventful pregnancy with all the usual tribulations of back pain and complaint. My daughter was called Violet Fable.
She died around twelve hours before she was born. Three weeks after her birth I felt that I needed a symbol to show that she had existed, to show that she had a name, to prove that I had known her for nine months of my life. I wanted a necklace with her name on it. After searching to no avail I decided to make one using silver letter beads and stones to symbolize my love and connection. I was surprised that I could make a beautiful piece of ornament and comforted by the nearness of her name to my voice and memory.
In 2002 I had my second daughter. With the help of wonderful doctors and the magic of medicine I have a little girl called Ruby Viola Solace. Her first name came in a dream so I had no choice. Her second name was in honour of her sister. Her last name was to convey the deep thankfulness that I have received for the presence of both of these children. My first child taught me about pain, loss and compassion. My second child taught me about hope, the value of each day of life and solace in knowing good can come of all experiences.
I am blessed to have had my first child and the lesson she taught me and doubly fortunate to have that lesson completed by my second child, without whom I would not have been able to value the message of the first.
Now, as a widowed parent I supplement our income by sharing the solace that I found through creating jewelry. Thank You so very much for your order. These bracelets are made with the conscious intention of manifesting and elevating the soul space of the recipient. My aim is to transmit serenity, strength and love throughout the world.
Namaste
