The Difference Between  A Tarot Deck and Oracle Cards

A traditional tarot deck contains 78 cards divided into 2 groups, the Major and Minor arcana. The Major Arcana of 22 cards illustrates the innocent fool's allegorical journey to enlightenment. The minor arcana is further divided into 4 suits, Wands, Swords, Cups and Coins very similar to a deck of playing cards.

  An oracle deck is designed according to the preference of the author, generally containing 40-50 cards following a specific theme and approach to interpretation. Every Oracle will be different in the way it is intended to be used; For divination, inspiration and meditation.

When choosing a deck of cards, we believe, the most important impetus should be that the images appeal to your taste and intutitve sensitivities. While some particularly themed decks may be more suitable for advanced readers, we encourage the seeker to follow their own intuition when selecting a divination tool.
